That means an 8 megapixel camera, like the one used in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus captures images with 8 million pixels. The rumored iPhone 6s and its 12 megapixel camera will snap photos that are packed with 12 million pixels. When it comes to megapixels, more isn't necessarily better. It's certainly bigger, but that doesn't equate to better. Instead, it's the camera lenses and the quality of the sensor that captures light to convert into your photos.
An 8 megapixel photo from a high quality lens and sensor combo will look much better than the same photo from a 12 megapixel image shot with mediocre lenses and sensors. Let's start with the iPhone 6's 8 megapixel photos for a little comparison.

Go larger, and your images will start to get that jaggy pixelated look. Since I like to see the best print quality possible, I try to stay below the high end for image sizes. There isn't, however, anything stopping you from printing a photo at a larger size; just remember the larger you go the lower the overall image quality will be.
That gets us to the big question: Will iPhone photos taken with a 12 megapixel camera be better than those taken with an 8 megapixel iPhone camera?
The answer to that is a definite maybe. Assuming Apple uses the same lenses and a sensor that doesn't offer overall better light capture, then the next iPhone will offer bigger photos and not better photos. Assuming the 12 megapixel sensor Apple uses is better—and the optics get an upgrade, too—then your next iPhone will snap overall better photos. What you won't get, no matter what camera upgrades the next iPhone offers, will be a fix for weak photography skills.

Second, I wanted to see how the 4K gaming experience would change when the screen refresh rate was pushed from 30 Hz to 60 Hz. Finally, I thought it would be amazing if I could push a tri-mon 4K setup to 60 Hz. Things were about to get real interesting. The first question that I had was how I was going to connect these displays to a PC. I then pondered how much graphics horsepower I would need to run a DirectX 11 game at 30 Hz the highest frame rate possible over single-stream connections.

Would this setup be able to hold 30 Hz with a single AMD graphics card? I was about to find out! Running Dirt3 at 11, x 2, with settings maxed out resulted in a frame rate just below the 30 Hz target. I closely examined my graphics settings, and was able to turn off some features that optimized the gameplay experience. Settling on medium to high overall settings I was able to hold an average frame rate of about 35fps.
This was an awesome setup, but I was also wondering how the 4K 60 Hz gaming experience would feel. With 4K display technology just emerging in the US this year, this technology is still very new. This is due to bandwidth limitations inherent with the existing standardized specifications for these display connectivity busses. In order to support a 60 Hz display refresh rate at 4K you need to use more than one stream.
The important thing about MST is that each stream display seen above can be driven at higher refresh rates, 60 Hz in this case. By using AMD Eyefinity these two display surfaces can be unified as a single 3, x 2, virtual display capable of full 60 Hz refresh rate.
